Our region · Our bees

Six locations.
Many perspectives.

Where does your honey come from? For us, the answer has a name: Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, Kirchditmold, Kaufungen, Bühlchenweg, Wegelänge or Liebenau.

The Bergpark is the focus of our sister website, Welterbe-Honig from Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. Here, you can also explore our other locations in Kassel and North Hesse. The photographs show our actual apiaries. We describe the places and their surroundings in general terms deliberately: apiaries are places where we work, and some are on private land. Visits are only possible by prior arrangement.

Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe

Among old trees and open greenery.

Meadows, old trees and the slopes of the Habichtswald meet in Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. One of our apiaries is here, within Kassel’s World Heritage Site. To us, its honey belongs to this special part of Kassel.

We keep the Bergpark spring and summer honey separate from our other locations. The name on the jar tells you where it comes from.

Kirchditmold

A garden apiary in a green part of Kassel.

Kirchditmold brings city life together with gardens, mature trees and plenty of green corners. Our apiary is part of this established neighbourhood. The photograph shows how closely beekeeping and garden life sit alongside each other here.

Kirchditmold also gives us a spring and a summer harvest. Both remain identifiable by their origin, rather than becoming an unnamed part of a shared blend.

Kaufungen apiary: a different place, with honey of its own

Kaufungen

A different place. Honey of its own.

Kaufungen lies east of Kassel in the Losse valley. Gardens and the town’s green surroundings form the setting for our apiary. Kaufungen takes our beekeeping beyond Kassel’s neighbourhoods and into the countryside of North Hesse.

We harvest Kaufungen spring and summer honey separately from our other locations. Both harvests remain tied to their origin. You can find our honey selection on Honig aus Kassel.

Bühlchenweg apiary: a different view of Nordshausen

Kassel-Nordshausen

Bühlchenweg

A different view of Nordshausen.

Bühlchenweg is one of our two apiaries in Nordshausen. Around it are gardens, meadows and the edge of the Dönche. Even so, we treat it as a distinct location, separate from our other apiary in Nordshausen.

That is why Bühlchenweg has its own place in our selection, with spring and summer honey. The origin stays clear, even within the same neighbourhood.

Wegelänge apiary: greenery and another view of Nordshausen

Kassel-Nordshausen

Wegelänge

Green surroundings. Another view of Nordshausen.

Our second apiary in Kassel-Nordshausen is at Wegelänge. The photograph gives a sense of its green surroundings. For us, the individual apiary matters, rather than just the name of the neighbourhood.

We therefore keep Wegelänge honey separate too. Its spring and summer harvests sit alongside the Bühlchenweg selection, without being blended with it.

Liebenau apiary: North Hesse beyond Kassel
North Hesse · Open farmland · A look at our apiary

North Hesse · Open farmland

Liebenau

North Hesse extends beyond Kassel.

Liebenau brings the open agricultural landscape of North Hesse into our selection. It complements our garden and city locations in Kassel and shows the geographical spread of our beekeeping.

Here too, we distinguish between spring and summer honey. For the current selection and availability, see the Liebenau honey on Honig aus Kassel.

Former apiaries

Part of our story.

Until 2025, we also kept bees in Vockerode-Dinkelberg and Brasselsberg. They are now part of our apiaries’ history. Our current selection, availability and collection enquiries are handled centrally through Honig aus Kassel.
