Apiaries, bees and honey jars
The photographs on the homepage, the honey origin and beekeeping pages, and the apiary overview come from the media collection supplied by our apiary. They show real apiaries and honey jars. Local copies with optimised file sizes and no embedded location metadata were created for the website. The original files remain unchanged.
Bienenleben: “Three lives. One colony.”
The full story and its image credits are available on Bienenleben.info. A short introduction to the story remains available at the existing North Hesse address, with the original section anchors. The swarm photograph shown there comes from our own media collection.
Images used in earlier versions remain accessible for existing links: the swarm in a tree, workers on a comb, a swarm in flight, a queen on a honeycomb and naturally built comb are our own photographs. The drone photograph story-5.webp is based on “Male honeybee” by DjDragon440, Wikimedia Commons, licensed under CC BY 4.0; it was cropped, rotated, reduced in size and converted to WebP for the earlier version.
All image files are served locally from our webspace. No AI-generated images are used.
